Cher and Gene Klosner, a sister-brother singer-songwriter duo, have been performing across the U.S. and directing choirs for many years. Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Cher and Gene have honed their songwriting skills living in Nashville and Los Angeles and now divide their time between composing music for Film/TV, directing choirs and composing and arranging liturgical music.
Through their ministry, they have written several contemporary Mass settings, including Mass of the Holy Family, Mass for the Advent Season, A Lenten Mass, many Christmas and liturgical songs, a complete 3-year cycle of Responsorial Psalms and more, which are being used at churches throughout the country. Their Christmas song, “I Am A Carpenter (Joseph’s Song),” has been performed in six continents to date.
Cher and Gene have compositions and recording projects with many publishers, including Turner Music, OCP, GIA, SLM, and Crucial Music to name a few. Their music has appeared on several networks, including NBC, Netflix, Comedy Central, Cartoon Network, TNN and more.
Over the years, they have recorded and released five complete albums – their Christmas collection, Ribbons and Pine, their World Youth Day commemoration collection, Denver, their sacred collection, Sunday, their multiple award-winning lullaby CD, Stardust, and their Christmas EP, A Christmas Sampler.
Cher and Gene have two YouTube Channels – CGKlosner and LTFMusic (Light the Fire Music), where they upload weekly videos showcasing their music. LTFMusic channel is their liturgical music channel, where their videos reflect music for the weekly readings, Responsorial Psalms, and the church seasons. Their CGKlosner channel represents their compositions for film, TV, their lullaby music, and a wide array of their music projects.
