Thanks for taking time to check out Simply Liturgical Music!
We started this venture as a way to self-publish Kelly’s compositions. When our composer friends found out what we were doing, many of them asked us to do the same for their music. What started as “I’ll just create a quick website and put my music out there” has grown to comprehensive catalogue of 30 composers and 500+ pieces of music in just over two years.
The mission of SLM is to connect composers with quality music to parishes and schools looking for other avenues to express God’s Word without the red tape, licensing fees, and other common limitations and struggles.
Our goal is simply this: to “Glorify the Lord by our lives” and to help others grow in their faith and relationship with Jesus. We saw no better way to do this than through music.

About the Owners
Kelly James Barth
The right brain of SLM is Kelly James Barth. Kelly holds a B.S. in Music Education K-12 from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and his M.A. in Theology from Creighton University. Kelly served as Music Director and Liturgist at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Omaha, Nebraska, from 2004 to 2013. Currently, he teaches Theology and serves as the school liturgist at Creighton Preparatory High School. Kelly is an avid L.A. Chargers fan, loves Star Wars (and all things nerdy), enjoys playing board games, and is very competitive with his brothers in basketball.
The left brain side of SLM is Carly Barth. She holds a B.S. in Marketing with a minor in International Business from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. When not taking care of SLM’s marketing and communications, she is the “Domestic Goddess” at Casa de Barth and enjoys finding a great shopping bargain, scrapbooking, sipping coffee while listening to The West Wing Weekly or The Catholic Talk Show podcasts. She also loves Husker football (next year, will be OUR year!)
