Psalms have been for, thousands of years, a musical expression of faith — first for the Jewish people, and today Christians as well. These important texts of our faith can rather easily find their way into worship in a more full and robust way.
Using the assigned Advent psalms for each Sunday fits well with the readings, and the musical setting of each psalm or canticle should reflect a similar emphasis.
