Yes. Compositions must be Theologically Sound (must either stay within the Catholic tradition or be "ecumenical" in approach), Liturgical in Nature (must spring forth from the liturgy, not inserted into it), Musically Proficient (must make sense musically). That being said, all styles and level of musicality are welcome and will have a fair chance at being accepted.
Yes and no. We call what we do "Team Publishing" because it has elements of both traditional publishing AND self-publishing. Much like traditional publishing, SLM is an official publisher who markets, sells, and distributes your music. However, you keep ALL rights to your composition just like you would if you were to self-publish. SLM can in no way change or modify the your composition. Also, if this composition gets a publication offer from any other reputable liturgical publishing company, SLM will withdraw all rights to the composition.
Yes - 40% of all your composition sales goes directly back to you, the Composer.
