Joette has been involved in music ministry since she was a freshman in college. In 1982 she recorded an album of original music based on the psalms titled And So I Rejoice. Since then, she has continued to set psalms to music, now using the texts for responsorial psalms. Joette is a classically trained guitarist and a Suzuki guitar teacher, teaching children age 4 and up to play guitar. She is part of the music ministry at St. Bernadette Church in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
